In its third year, “Diamonds & Dreams” has awarded more than 25 youth-field makeovers across the country. Say goodbye to bad hops. Renovations of the 12 field makeovers this year will be administered through Ripken Design, a Baltimore-based division of Ripken Baseball, which is owned and operated by Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, Jr. and his brother, Bill, a former 12-year Major League veteran. Last summer Chevrolet extended its multi-faceted role with MLB as the league’s official vehicle. It also supports the Chevrolet Youth Baseball program, which has helped raise more than $13 million to aid local teams over the past seven years. More than three million young people in communities across the country have benefited.
